Luna Marine Charts
Map Area
The Map Area is the central workspace where all nautical charts, routes, and location overlays are displayed. It supports smooth zooming and panning, highlights chart coverage dynamically, and responds to tool selections from the sidebar. When GPS is active, the vessel’s position and heading appear directly on the map. Visual styling adapts to the selected theme, base map, and chart layer configuration.
Sidebar
The Sidebar provides structured access to the app’s major features, including chart management, route planning, display preferences, and user settings. It can be collapsed to maximize map visibility or expanded to reveal detailed controls and tools.
Map Tools
Map Tools are interactive utilities that modify how you explore the map, inspect charts, or plan navigation. Selecting a tool updates the Map Area with relevant controls and overlays.
Query: Search and Inspect Charts
The Query tool lets you inspect chart features. You can tap features on the map to inspect details.
Route: Plan and Measure Routes
The Route tool allows you to create and edit navigation routes directly on the map. Add waypoints, adjust legs, and measure distances and bearings. Routes can be saved, renamed, or exported for use in other navigation systems.
GPS: Live Location Updates [Mobile Only]
The GPS tool displays your vessel’s real‑time position. When enabled, the map can automatically follow your movement.
