Luna Chart Intelligence helps you understand nautical charts, identify potential hazards, and make sense of what's important for navigation with AI.

Charts contain a tremendous amount of information, from depths and aids to navigation to restricted areas, regulations, traffic patterns, and other details that aren't always easy to interpret at a glance. Chart Intelligence brings that information together and explains what's relevant to the area you're exploring.

Explore the chart with questions

Select an area of the chart and choose a question. Chart Intelligence examines the chart features in that area and, where relevant, official US Coast Pilot guidance to give you a concise explanation.

Route Review

Analyze your route for potential navigation concerns before you go.

Route Review looks at the route's path and the chart information along it to identify things that may deserve attention, such as:

Shallow water relative to your vessel's draft
Shoals and other underwater hazards
Rocks, wrecks, and obstructions
Dredged channels and other depth-related considerations
Relevant Coast Pilot guidance

Each finding is associated with a location along your route, making it easier to understand where a potential concern occurs and return to that location on the chart.

Route Review isn't intended to replace your own navigation planning or judgment. It's another tool for finding and understanding information that can be easy to overlook when reviewing a complicated route.

Built around the chart

Chart Intelligence isn't a general-purpose chatbot added to a charting app. It is designed specifically to work with Luna's nautical chart data and related official sources.
